Teaching and learning newsletters

I write the schools teaching and learning newsletters every two weeks. These are NOT my own personal ideas I merely source them from various places (research articles, text books, twitter, educational blogs) to provide CPD to the staff at my school and share best practice. They include teaching and learning ideas, activities, current and topical pedagogy etc. If this is something you are responsible for in your own school or you would like to improve your own knowledge with very short simple snippets of advice then why not download them and save yourself a bit research time. In this download you will receive the first seven newsletters.

Road to Rio revision board game

**NEW** Engage your students with this excellent revision board game - Road to Rio! Students have to travel around the board and when they land on a space they have to answer a subject specific question from one of the pre-prepared revision questions. Get it wrong and they might end up back at the start! With an Olympics theme this activity will be great in the build up to exams or just as useful as an end of unit activity to assess learning. Allow students access to their folders and text books or make it really challenging for them and don't let them use any revision materials! A fantastic way to get students recapping learning without them feeling as if learning or revision is taking place. The question cards have nice twists which will keep students guessing and on their toes throughout the duration of the game and are easily modified and adapted so you can create new banks of questions if needed!
